Cool

I thought there were gonna be pancakes down on the river.

You know, with the right side dishes a short stack will suffice
Some sausage or bacon, maybe even some fresh fruit.
Wait, what was I talking about again.
Oh yeah, BOATS!

TALL STACKS 2006

Anyone planning on attending this years event?

You know what might be ?
Checking it out from on of the office towers or the observation deck of the carew tower downtown.
Maybe from up on the hill in mt adams or from one of the parks overlooking the river.

Yui could even just cruise back and forth accross a couple of the bridges over the ohio to get a glimpse of the paddlewheelers.

Hey, do whatcha wanna do.

It's whatever floats your boat

And on really REALLY BIG SHIP ,with no stacks.

WWII landing craft visits Tall Stacks
Cincinnati Business Courier - 11:35 AM EDT Thursday

It's not a steamboat, but a unique watercraft is drawing attention at the Tall Stacks festival.

The LST 325, also known as the "Gray Lady," is moored on the Kentucky side of the river, next to BB Riverboats, for the duration of the festival.

The landing craft carried tanks that rolled onto Omaha Beach during D-Day, and may be the only remaining operable major ship that participated in that invasion, according to a news release. It is usually moored in Evansville, Ind., where it serves as a World War II memorial.

The LST is open for tours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at $5 per ticket.
